Accent Reduction

As a multinational employee, are you concerned about producing the correct sounds of American English?
Talented employees who speak multiple languages often lack confidence because they feel hindered by their accents. This course translates theory into specific, practical tools and skills for gaining control over language accents.

Two days (one day of group work plus a 30-minute individual session that includes video recording and practicing)

Outcomes
At the end of this course, participants will:

  • Demonstrate more accuracy with articulation and enunciation.

  • Recognize common consonant and vowel substitutions.

  • Overcome habits in speech production.

  • Learn to feel and distinguish similar sounds.

  • Identify a systematic approach to reducing accents and eliminating non-native rhythm, stress, and intonation patterns.

Communicating Globally
