History
Writing Dynamics was founded by four pioneering women on the Jersey Shore in 1981. Kathy Gallagher had tragically passed away a short while before I came to WD in 2000, but Tommie Almond, Bobbi Knezek, and Barbara McGovern were an immediate inspiration to me.
I loved hearing stories of their early battles in the newly exploding (and male-dominated) industry of “corporate training” in the early ‘80s.
One story often told through wide smiles was of their first meeting with a loan officer. Upon hearing that four women were going to start their own communication training firm, he looked at them and simply said, “this will never work.”
Forty-four years later, we still believe that helping employees and leaders excel in their communication skills is one of the best investments companies can make. You’ll note that year after year, decade after decade, the companies that thrive are the ones that position leadership and development at their core.
